About Us
MechKeys SG is run by a small team of mechanical keyboard enthusiasts who have lived and worked in Singapore for years. What started as a hobby evolved into systematic testing, in-depth guides and active participation in the local scene — from meetups to sharing build experiences with fellow enthusiasts.
We attend local enthusiast gatherings, track new group-buys and prototype switches. The tropical climate and high humidity are part of our everyday reality: we test how keyboards perform under real Singapore conditions — from air-conditioned offices to rooms without constant humidity control.
Author Expertise
The MechKeys SG editors combine years of hands-on hobby experience (assembly, tuning, switch and keycap selection) with a commitment to technical accuracy in every description. We are not a shop and have no official manufacturer partnerships; we prioritise transparency and practical conclusions for the reader.
Review Methodology
Every keyboard is tested for at least two weeks of daily work and leisure use. We measure keystroke volume and "thock" character using a sound level meter (dB) under repeatable conditions so comparisons are meaningful. We also compare behaviour in air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned environments, because the effect of temperature and humidity on typing feel and structural stability can be noticeable.
In our articles we cite manufacturer specifications, project forums and our own measurements; when we do not know something, we state it clearly. Questions and suggestions can be sent to kontakt@yoqugqusonaifua.eu.
